Lip Blush will enhance your lips by defining their natural shape for better symmetry and evening out the color. You'll walk away with a soft, shaded-in color that may give the illusion of bigger and fuller lips due to a more even pigment.
The process of Lip Blush involves implanting pigment using a specialized PMU machine. We use the Tina Davies line of pigment which is a Canadian brand and manufactured in Germany and South Carolina. Lip Blush healing takes approximately 7 days. Over the course of a week your lips may feel dry, and the skin will peel and flake off, revealing a lighter color. The color will fade about 30% from the original treatment day color. Lip Blush typically lasts between 1-3 years, however, annual touch-ups are recommended to keep the color vibrant as the color will gradually lighten over time.
How long does Lip Blush last?
Results typically last 2-3 years, depending on lifestyle, skin type, and aftercare. Touch-ups are recommended once per year to maintain color over time.
Is the procedure painful?
Discomfort is minimal. A topical numbing cream is applied before and during the service to keep you comfortable throughout the appointment.
What is the healing process like?
Healing usually takes 5-10 days. Lips may feel dry and slightly swollen at first, followed by light flaking. Final color settles around 6-8 weeks.
Can Lip Blush make my lips look fuller?
Lip Blush enhances the appearance of fullness by defining the lip border and correcting uneven tone, but it does not add physical volume like filler.
What does Lip Blush aftercare involve?
Proper aftercare is essential for optimal healing and color retention. Lips should be kept clean, moisturized with the recommended aftercare product, and protected from sun exposure during the healing process (7-10 days).
What should I avoid after my Lip Blush appointment?
For 7-10 days, avoid spicy foods, hot drinks, alcohol, smoking, kissing, excessive sweating, swimming, saunas, and direct sun exposure. These can affect healing and pigment retention.
Is peeling or flaking normal?
Yes. Light peeling or flaking is a normal part of healing. Do not pick at the lips, as this can cause uneven color or pigment loss.
Can I wear lipstick or lip gloss while healing?
No. Avoid all lip products except the provided aftercare balm until peeling has fully finished and the lips are healed (usually 7-10 days).
When can I return to normal activities?
Most daily activities can be resumed immediately, but sun exposure and smoking should be avoided until lips are fully healed. Full color results will settle in 6-8 weeks.
